The whole point of a vineyard is grapes.
Vines without fruit might be pleasant to look at, but really miss the purpose
for which they were planted. This is one of the metaphors Jesus uses in John 15
to help us understand his purpose for our lives as Christians.
During the month of February we will be
studying this passage on Sunday mornings. We are asking God to teach us about
the "spiritual fruit" he has created us to bear, what that looks
like, how he "prunes" us to bear even more fruit, and what it means
for us to stay spiritually connected to him. We have selected a companion book
called "Secrets Of The Vine" by Bruce Wilkerson that you can read to
go along with the series.
